Skye Sweetnam

Skye Sweetnam was born in 1988 in Bolton, Ontario. She was first asked to sing at a hair shop when she was only 12. That was where she started out. She finally got a record deal and recorded her first album, noise from the basement. She played out the voice of barbie on the Mattel dvd The Barbie Diaries. She then created her second cd, and just kept getting better and more popular. She says "For I am a music warrior, defending noise in the fight against silence." Skye is part pop part rock and all amazing. So go on, listen to some of her songs, you know you want to. Hey. Right now an amazing accessory would have to be alot of bracelets, ranging from skinny elastic ones.... to big chunky bangles. No matter who you are or what you are wearing bracelets definitely add an extra pop to your outfit. To add an extra personal twist ask your mom if you can borrow some of the bracelets she wore when she was a kid. You can also always go to a place like Claire's or Pips for some cheap yet beautiful pieces..... also, check out the necklaces while you are there. You can double or triple up on a necklace to make it look just like a bracelet.

My Tip: To really make your bracelets look funky mix bright popping colors with whites. Also, go for ones with big beads. (Such as seen in the picture.)

My Rocket Summer

Hey. I just recently heard about a band called My Rocket Summer. Sound familiar? If so great, if not then keep on reading....

My Rocket Summer is a pop/rock band. They now have three cd's out: Calender Days, Summer 07, and The Early Years. If you like The Fall Of Troy, Fall Out Boy, or anything upbeat.... this is the band for you. My personal favorites are cross my heart and this is me. Their lyrics are the kind of lyrics that can be totally relatable and they offer an awesome beat, things that some bands cannot do.
